Talent School
The Fraunhofer Talent School is a program for talented and technology-savvy young adults between the 9th and 13th grade who would like to learn more about current scientific problems and are curious about grappling with these issues.
Talent Take Off
„Talent Take Off” is a new network for talented secondary school and university students. It is part of the ”National Pact for Women in MINT-Professions” (MINT: mathematics, computer science, natural science and engineering), which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). In this context, the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft and the Deutsche Telekom Stiftung work together to offer programs for students. The ”Talent Take Off” is conducted at the TU Berlin (Technische Universität Berlin) by the Femtec GmbH.
Girls‘ Day
Since 2001, on every fourth Wednesday of April, technical plants, companies with engineering divisions and vocational trainings, universities and research centers in Germany have been opening their doors for girls in fifth grade and above. Fraunhofer FIRST supports the campaign, because we set a high value on supporting young women in science and technology. The next Girls’ Day will take place on April 25th, 2013.
Student Laboratory
Students from various high schools in Berlin are members of FIRST’s RoboCup team training center. The team has successfully competed in robot construction contests for the last four years.
Long Night of Science
You will have the opportunity of experiencing research at Fraunhofer FIRST up-close and personal during the Long Night of Science. You can participate in experiments and discuss science with the researchers.
