Android Client available under the Apache 2.0 Licence

FOKUS NGNI contributes as open source bug fixes and extensions to the Orange RCS stack for Android. FOKUS used this stack in a Rich Communication Service (RCS) project. In the course of this project multiple fixes for the base software were provided and H.264 live video sharing enabled.

Orange has released an open-source Android client available under the Apache 2.0 license. This is available from

The client is available for developers to download and "play" with and it is hoped it will be used to support the next round of testing. The Fraunhofer FOKUS Competence Center NGNI (Next Generation Network Infrastructure) has already contributed feedback for improvements to Orange, as the owner of the open-source code and, as an open source project, additional feedback is welcome.
