Fraunhofer FOKUS partner Media Broadcast launched Multithek

German transmission company Media Broadcast has launched the first hybrid media portal for DVB-T on Wednesday, February 20, 2013. Called Multithek, the new portal offers a wide range of media libraries and additional services such as news, sport, shopping, music and weather. Based on HbbTV standard, Multithek delivers an enjoyable television experience which combines TV and the Internet. Fraunhofer FOKUS’ competence center Future Applications and Media (FAME) and Media Broadcast developed in a joint collaboration this pioneering hybrid media portal. For this portal FAME demonstrates with growing success their longtime experience, competency and flexibility as a partner for connected and hybrid TV solutions.
